indieWire had a bunch of lists of people's thoughts on the best pics of 2009. Some nice choices, though the lists are at times hampered by people not having seen some of the best films of the years. But some appeal agree with me on the quality of Tokyo Sonata. I'm not sure why it's not getting more attention on year end lists.
The LA Weekly also came out with it's best of the year according to Scott Foundas. It's an interesting list, but with a few surprises on it--Avatar, Public Enemies, Invictus. I can understand someone liking these movies, but they seem an odd addition to a best of the year list from a critic.
